Here you will find various resources and information for students that connect them to the NDSS learning community.

Check out what’s happening around NDSS:

NDSS Textiles:

Congratulations to Eden Vanderkwaak and Hala Kishawi for earning the 1st and 2nd place spots at the Central Vancouver Island Regional Fashion Skills Competition.  Both were eligible to participate in the Provincial Fashion and Design Skills Canada Competition in Abbotsford at the Tradex centre.  The competition consisted of students going in with only a fashion drawing of a jacket and adjusting a pattern to their design, cutting, and sewing the entire project in one day.  Eden Vanderkwaak placed 3rd overall and Hala Kishawi placed 5th.  Both students spent a lot of extra time practicing and preparing for this competition and we couldn’t be prouder of these two NDSS students!!

NDSS Jazz Combo:

A big shout-out to the NDSS jazz combo, a student-led group that has been practicing once a week this spring. They braved absolutely horrendous weather to join the Mid Island Community Bands performance at Maffeo Sutton Park on Saturday afternoon
